4/17/09 - Annika built her first Snowman

Toby (right) and Boss (center) were thrilled to have us home for a snowday. I think we ended up with 2.5 snow days in April!

Annika's Daycare (Kerry's Playschool) took a trip to the Denver Zoo. Miraculously they picked a beautiful 75 degree day in the midst of all of our April Snow Storms. In Annika's words: "It was lots of fun!!"

David flew out to Wyoming from New York City to surprise Mom and Dad on Mother's Day weekend. They were pretty surprised when he showed up for dinner in Cheyenne at our house on Friday night! We were so happy to see you, David!

We took in a Rockies game a couple weekends ago. Cotton candy - Yum! Annika loved the "purple dinosaur" aka Dinger the Rockies mascot.

And, of course - the basement projects drags on! It actually picked up a great deal of momentum when (after I spent 40-50 hours mudding bedroom 1) we hired a friend Brian to mud and tape the darn thing. He should be done texturing by the time we get home Sunday from Elko, Nevada. When we get home from our little trip we get to paint, hang doors, do trim, lay flooring, tile the bathtub area, set the toilet, install vanity, hang medicine cabinet, hang lights, and voila - we'll be ready for guests galore just in time for Cheyenne Frontier Days 2009!
Here is a picture that show's Annika helping me do the mudding and taping of my special under the stairs cubby holes (she loves playing in the mud). Brian thinks I am as crazy as Stephen does, so he told me I could take care of the mudding and taping of "that mess" myself. I personally think the cubbies are looking great, and I am sure that I am going to win some sort of HGTV prize for best storage space ever!
